Every time you allow anger, resentment and frustration towards other people creep into your mind and your heart, it starts to build up… and the more it builds up inside of you, the less room you have for love, positivity, and grace.
Jesus, help us to let go of anything and everything that builds walls around us and keeps us from loving other people.
When I’m feeling lonely, my flesh will try to cling to anything and everything other than Jesus… because it’s so much easier to do… because when I feel lonely, I’m forgetting God is with me. And when I forget God is with me, it opens up a door for satan to creep through. And when he creeps through, he throws lie after lie at me. He finds a way to convince me that this thing or that thing will get rid of my loneliness. That if I cling to the things of this world, I’ll be okay and somehow, I’ll feel satisfied. What a lie.
Jesus, help me cling to You when I’m lonely—nothing else will do.

Just the other day, I was studying the word of God as I do everyday, and I heard this wonderful analogy about the law of God which was given by Moses, and why the Law on it’s own cannot save anyone. (Romans 7:13-24) This analogy made it so tangible to grasp it’s meaning and it is my prayer that it will enlighten your understanding as well.
If you have a glass of water with sediment (Let’s call this sin) inside the glass, and left that glass for an hour, the sediment in the glass will begin to settle down to it’s bottom (let’s just call this the level of the flesh) the water atop of the glass would appear clear. Now if you begin to stir the water the sediment inside the glass will begin to surface and become visible throughout the entire glass (let’s call this manifestation).
The “Law” is the spoon that stirs the sediment (Sin) so it can be clearly seen. Now the spoon (Law) did not produce the sediment (Sin) or unholiness it just makes it seen, visible, manifested.
Our Bible tells us in (1 Corinthians 15:56) “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the "law”. The law was never designed to make us holy nor was it given to make us righteous, it is only through Jesus is holiness and righteousness provided for us, “be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith” (Philippians 3:9). Glory to God!!
What a Savior we have in Jesus, who has set us free (Romans 8:1-2) “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.”
You have been freed beloved of God, you have a new nature, the nature of God. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
You ought to shout right now!!! “Thank You Jesus!!!

your brain on trauma: how about we only vaguely remember this event, and we can’t be sure if we made it up or dreamed it (if we say it out loud other people will accuse us of making it up or dreaming it so better we assume that on our own) or if it was real, but the consequences of this, seemingly made up event, are so severe we can’t normally live our life, we feel anxious, ashamed, guilty, paranoid, restless and hurt, but however all these symptoms, they aren’t proof enough that this event happened or that it traumatized us, no, maybe we just feel all that, because there’s something wrong with us - we’re weak, thats it, we made this up and now we feel horrible about it all on our own, there’s no way it could have been real–
i want a “mutually obsessed with each other but in a healthy way” kind of relationship
the holiday season is upon us so love each other a little bit more, hug everyone a little bit tighter, spread God’s word a little bit stronger
When we say “God is good” we don’t mean that God is kind of like other things that are good. We mean that God is the standard that we measure all good things by. Something is only “good” as far as it is like God. It’s not like there’s is a checklist of traits that God meets. God is the standard. God is good.
